An official decision to confirm or cancel a course will be made by approximately 2 weeks before the course start date.

If you have a specific deadline to meet, consider registering for a course that ends earlier.

If you are interested in applying to the M.Ed. program, you are expected to complete the application process prior to completing six credits.

Courses are available to educators in all states with the exception of California and CNMI.

Registration Information
  • Course Materials

    Students are responsible for purchasing books and must be in possession of all required course materials on the first day of the course, in order to attend and receive a grade in the course.  You will receive information on how to obtain your course materials once your course has been confirmed.  Books are available for purchase through BNC Services or 800.325.3252. For live-virtual courses, course workbooks and syllabi are accessible from the student RTC account on the RTC website three business days before the course starts until the final course grade has been submitted. For online courses, syllabi and any workbooks are available within the online course. Note: Access to the course and any submissions will only be available for a limited period of time.   • Registration

    You can register online at thertc.net. If you need assistance, contact us via chat or info@thertc.net. Seats are available on a first-received basis. Please register early since class size is limited. The last day to register for a course is 3 business days before the start date:

    Students wishing to register for more than 9 credits in the Fall or 12 credits in the Spring or Summer must receive approval BEFORE REGISTERING. Contact the RTC office via chat or info@thertc.net.

  • Tuition

    A minimum deposit of $75 is required at the time of registration, payable by check, credit card or school PO. All outstanding balances are due three business days before the published start date of a course (same as registration deadline schedule). There are no additional required college fees.  A $30 fee will be imposed on returned checks.

    Summer 2024/Fall 2024

    The College of New Jersey 3-credit: $1995.00 ($665/credit)  
    La Salle University 3-credit: $1620.00 ($540/credit)

  • Confirmation

    Once the course is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation letter via email. The course will show as pending in your account until the course is confirmed. The confirmation letter will include all pertinent information about the course. Books are available for purchase through BNC Services at https://bncvirtual.com/thertc or 800-325-3252.

  • Cancellation

    If a course is cancelled, you will be notified within two weeks prior to the first day of the course via email. Your deposit will be placed into available funds which you can use to register for another course. If you prefer to receive a full refund, please contact RTC via chat or info@thertc.net.

  • Drop/Add

    There is no additional fees for the first transfer within a semester.  The transfer request must be made more than 3 full business days before the published start date of the dropped course.  A $10 processing charge will be applied on any subsequent transfers.  If the transfer is made less than the number of required business days before the course start date, it will result in the forfeiture of the deposit.

  • Withdrawals & Refund

    A $25 fee is assessed for withdrawals made up until 3 business days before the published start date of the course (same as registration deadline schedule).  Withdrawals on or after the deadline will result in forfeiture of the minimum deposit, $75.  Live-virtual classroom courses, no refunds will be made after the first 3 hours of the course time.  For online courses, refund will be based on the proportion of the course completed.

    Less than 10% - 90% refund
    10% up to but not including 20% - 80% refund
    20% up to but not including 30% - 60% refund
    30% up to but not including 40% - 40% refund
    40% up to but not including 60% - 20% refund
    More than 60% - No refund

    ANY WITHDRAWALS OR DROP/ADDs must be done by contacting RTC via chat or info@thertc.net.

  • Requirements

    Working with their instructor, students are required to produce a Learning Extension Project in the form of a research-based course project. Live-virtual courses, projects are due no later than two weeks after the last in-class meeting. For online courses, projects are due no later than one week after the last published date. The LEP submission deadline marks the conclusion of the course.

  • Grade Report and Transcript Information

    Grade reports and transcript can be requested from the accredited college (TCNJ or La Salle) approximately 6 weeks from the last published end date of the course.

  • Graduate Course Credit Information

    All courses are for graduate credit.  In New Jersey you will receive the credits from The College of New Jersey.  In Pennsylvania or Maryland, your credits will be from La Salle University. Credits may apply toward graduate degree programs. Prior to registering, check with your advisor. Credits may also be applied toward Pennsylvania Level II certification, recertification, ACT 48 Professional Education credit, 100 hour requirement, Maryland APC, and/or advancement on the salary scale.
