Artificial Intelligence: Navigating the Future of Learning

This course will provide educators with a comprehensive understanding of how artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming education. Participants will explore AI-powered tools, their applications in all classrooms, ethical considerations, privacy and security concerns, and policies and regulations related to AI in education. Participants will learn how to use AI-powered tools to personalize learning experiences for students, automate administrative tasks, and collect and analyze data. Best practices for integrating AI in K-12 classrooms, and strategies for evaluating the effectiveness of AI-powered education will be examined.

Currently in 6-week fully-online format.

The Mindful Classroom

This course introduces educators to mindfulness as a lifestyle and more importantly, as an instructional style rather than an isolated period of instructional time. Establishing best practices in mindfulness instruction is a key component of this course. Developing personal practice and how mindfulness affects the brain coincide to define the role of the mindful teacher. How to introduce mindfulness to our communities is addressed, as well as Cognitive Load Theory.

About RTC's new Artificial Intelligence course

Having had no exposure to artificial intelligence using ChatGPT prior to this course, I now feel confident and ready to dive in and use AI to improve my lessons in ways I would have never thought of before.

This course was awesome! It completely opened my eyes to a whole world of tools I was unaware of. The layout was incredibly clear and helpful. The video at the start of each week outlining what was due that week was particularly helpful.

Great opportunity to explore ways to use AI in different ways. I have gained a lot of useful ways to include AI in my teaching and personal life.

I was very excited to be able to take this course. AI is emerging quickly, and this course helped me to "dig in" to the topic to gain better understanding and consideration of AI's impact on instruction.

This course has been one of my favorites that I have taken through RTC! I felt that it was well thought out, and therefore I found it easy to apply my learnings to my day-to-day teaching/life. I have already recommended this course to many of my colleagues as I think that the topic of AI is one that we should all have some background on in the world of education.
